Our newly admitted students - based on the data provided during the admission process, must change their initial password on the https://uni-bge.hu/password password page to a password of at least 8 characters long, containing both lowercase and uppercase letters and numbers, which must not contain your Neptune code, or your last or first name. To do this, you must enter your Neptune code and the e-mail address provided during the admission process (e.g. gmail.com, icloud.com, etc.). Further instructions can be found in the email sent to the provided e-mail address.
If you have forgotten your password or cannot access the system for any reason, you can change your password at https://uni-bge.hu/password. When requesting a new password, they must provide their neptun code and any email address registered in neptun (addresses ending in @ unibge.hu cannot be used in this case). In this case, please pay close attention to your password requirements (password policy: your password must be at least 8 characters long and include at least one number, a capital letter and a lowercase letter)!
If the password change is unsuccessful, please contact your faculty IT colleagues.
Upon multiple attempts to log in, the user account will be locked and automatically unlocked after 30 minutes.
In order to increase the security of our data, two-step authentication was introduced at the Budapest University of Economics and Business in 2024, which is mandatory for the use of Neptun and Microsoft accounts. Setting up MFA your Neptun / Setting up MFA your Microsoft Account.
You can change your password on any system interface (Neptun / My Data / Preferences; Modulo / Login Password Change Button; Institutional Computers / CTRL + ALT + DEL / Change Password) will apply to all systems.
